I always enjoy in this class. I usually don't read an article except Korean one, so I don't know well about the event of around the world. I got to know a lot of issues and have a chance to think about it. I was really interested in Al Gore's movie 'inconvenient truth' and Michael Moore's 'Bowling for Columbine.' Global warming and gun incidents were not interesting topic for me in the past because I couldn't feel it is serious. However, I could figure out there are many serious problems not only in America but also around the world. After we watch a movie, we usually talk about it and share our ideas. I really like that moment. Also, we can see other people's ideas and opinion on Pbwiki. This is a kind of special for me. New style of class and teacher who always encourages students make me take part in the class eagerly~~!!

This class was very helpful for me to have chance to listen and read about various and important topics. Also, I could know other students' ideas. It was also really good that we had opportunities to talk about waht we understood and to discuss a topic related to one that we watched after watching some movies, documentaries, news and stories. Johana has made efforts a lot to make our class more effective and intersting;therefore, we all could enjoy this class a lot. Johana always prepared many materials like questions, websites and handouts for us. I appreciate Johana and want to thank to students who participated with enthusiasm. One thing is a little sorry, we don't have enough time to deal with them more.

Shortly, this class is fantastic. Johana is an enthusiastic teacher to prepare for the class perfectly.
Every time she brings precious materials for class, and
she often tries new things to attract students' attention. She used movies, news, documentaries and used website to practice vocabulary which was really interesting and effective. The materials she used were representing current American issues and were helpful for me to understand America better. They were really informative. She also combined many skills to develop speaking, listening, and writing. We had chances to make a short casual presentation many times,to listen to all kinds of media,to write a short review about movies, and
to decorate our own website in English. Johana tried to give students everything in one class. To make it better, she sometimes fills classroom with sound music which makes me comfortable. I really appreciate her efforts and new
ideas. However, she proceeded the class a little bit fast
and we didn't have enough time to savor the valuable
materials. Except that, every thing is perfect.

I like this class very much. We always have a lot of different activities in this class. All the topics are very interesting. I dont understand how she can find that interesting topic in every class. There is no way that you dont want to join class. The teacher makes everybody talk during the class. She uses a lot of materials like tv, dvd player... so we never get bored in the class.
